Scheduling a College Visit
College visits should be planned at least one week in advance. It is best to visit when the college is in session. Two absences for college visits are permitted, but visits are not allowed in May. Try to visit on days that WPCC has no school. A yellow slip must be turned into the main office before the visit.
Call the Admissions office of the college to make arrangements, or ask your counselor to help you make the arrangements. It is recommended that parents visit colleges with their student.

NEBRASKA Sport Club Tryouts
Fourteen student-run sport clubs at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will hold open tryouts for admitted high school seniors on February 18 and March 22. Students selected at the open tryouts will become official sports club members when they enroll at the university. Sport Club Tryouts are from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on February 17th.
Sport clubs at UNL are wholly student-run programs that compete regionally against other colleges and universities, including other sports clubs from other Big XII Conference universities and some varsity teams from regional institutions such as Creighton University, Dana College and Doane College. Participation in sports clubs is on a non-scholarship basis and involves some costs such as equipment and travel. Sport Clubs are comprised of individuals who have a desire to compete or participate in a sport throughout their college career. Many sport clubs are created because the talent, dedication to the sport and interest demand an opportunity for students other than varsity athletics or because no varsity team exists.
Registration will be available in November.
